Insert Default Replication Data
Replication with the Data Director requires a set of replication rules to describe what data to send. For each table that is to be sent between databases there is a sub-job and then the sub-jobs are grouped together into jobs.
Included in the LS one setup is a data package which contains a suggestion of jobs and subjobs that can be used for data replication from head office to stores and terminals. This data contains a number of jobs and subjobs to perform common tasks, such as preloading a new store, preloading a new POS, transferring item data to stores and POSs, transferring transactions from POSs to stores and head office and more.
The demo data package does not include any replication data this package is imported separately from the demo data.
To import replication data:
- In the Site Manager go to the Dashboard and click Import button on the Data pack import sticker on the dashboard.
-
Select the checkbox by Replication data in the list and click OK button.
Once you click OK the default data will take a few moments to load into the Scheduler database.
-
For more information about the other data packs available in the default data dialog please go to the LS One Online help.
Now the default replication data has been imported into the store database. To view the data select Tools > Replication > Jobs in the ribbon to view the jobs and for the subjobs Tools > Replication > Settings > Subjobs.
